We’ve already mentioned the fact that the first step to meet this challenge is to try and get to know something more about our learners’ different cultures. By doing this, we are also discovering our hidden assumptions about our own culture – it’s as if we changed our glasses and were thus able to see the world with different eyes - in a way, we are forced to dis-cover our perceptions and compare them with the perceptions of other cultural groups.
